Malia 6 Months!

The only thing that I love more than this . . . . .

. . . . . is this.
Our girl is six months old already!  And what a complete joy she has been in our lives.  She weighs a whopping 13lbs 14 oz (15%) and is 27in long (90%).  She is starting to get her third tooth, on the top.  And, this cutie pie is all smiles to show off the two that she already has.  She has been rolling like crazy and trying to get up onto her knees.  She is finally strong enough to sit up in her bumbo seat.  She's so tiny that she's just not real strong in her upper body, but her lower body is solid.  Standing is a favorite and likes to hold onto the ottoman and play in her exersaucer.  And, she is still the easiest baby ever.  I love that she sleeps through the night and that we didn't have to wait until she turned two-years old like we had to do with Gabe. Thank you Lord!  She eats a ton too.  Each evening, I nurse her at 5:30, then solids at 7 and bedtime nursing at 8:30.  She'll eat a jar and a half of veggies, and two tablespoons of rice cereal.  Yep, I've been trying to load her up to keep her belly filled up through the night.  We are so blessed to have such a sweet little girl. I love her so much and it's so great to be her mama.

We got her ears pierced!  She has two little flowers made from her birthstone (a light green) dazzling her lobes and they are so stinkin' cute.

Malia cried for less than a minute and it was over and done with.

We haven't seen my parents since Christmas so we met up with them at PF Changs at Northgate and browsed the mall with them after we got Malia's ears pierced.

Winter Fishing

What's a boy to do, who's stuck inside during Washington's winter weather?  Head out to fish when the rain breaks of course.

I had to include this picture.  I now have Gabe at home with me full-time and I love it.  I have him on a schedule like he had at preschool, we even do circle time together.  He has time to play his Leapster during the day and lately has found this as his favorite place to sit and play.  Also, we chopped his hair . . . his beautiful, blonde, thick, surfer hair.  It needed it after swimming in chlorine so much last summer.  But, I admit that I like it longer, but the shorter style is growing on me.

The Tooth Fairy!

The Tooth Fairy has arrived!  I can't believe that our little boy, our baby boy has lost his first tooth already!!! Above is a letter that Gabriel wrote to the Tooth Fairy, he sounded out all of the words with my help and wrote it all down.  He taped his tooth in the lower left hand corner, placed it in an envelope and stuck it underneath his pillow . . . . .

. . . . . AND, of course the Tooth Fairy wrote back.  She attached a "Susan B. Anthony" coin to it also. (ya know we can't get too crazy the for the first tooth because the price of teeth goes up from here)

Gabe asked Mike to pull his tooth out for him, so just prior to this picture, Mike whispered for me to get the video camera ready.  He told Gabe to sit on the couch and he'd be right back . . . . in he came from the garage with a handsaw, prybar, hammar, etc.  He laid them on the ottoman and told Gabe to open up.  Gabe trustfully leaned forward and opened his mouth.  Brave!  We laughed told him it was a joke, wrapped floss around it and snapped that puppy right out.
