Garden Goodies
As our garden continues to grow, we have sure enjoyed sharing the fruits of our labor. Gabe has especially had fun weeding and watering the garden with the cannon from his pirate ship.
Camping!!!
We got a chance to go camping for the first time this summer. I can't believe that is was only our first time for the entire summer, and Gabe's first time EVER! We're slackin'! It was also my dad's birthday so we bought him some night vision goggles so that he can spy on the local rowdies while they're there! We explored the grounds, riding our bikes to the river, the pool and Gabe found some friends to play with as well. The parents of these kids were kids that I grew up with. Now, our kids are playing together and exploring the woods. It brings back such memories. Happy Birthday Papa!
National Night Out
At the end of July, our community supported National Night Out. It's an event to promote police and community relationships. They brought in BBQ and toys for the kids...of all ages! The toys were big, and fun and landed right at our park about 50 yards away from our house. It was exciting to see all of the big boy toys and our force was so great with the kids. Sorry, the video isn't really video. I accidently switched the camera over to video mode while trying to take a picture. I guess the mom's got a little excited too!

Lake Sammamish
Another fun day in the water......Steph & Jason Bailey invited us to play out on Lake Sammamish for the afternoon. We climbed and jumped off of their "big balls tube," and getting pulled from behind the boat. Gabe has never played in such deep water, and once again, showed no fear. In fact, while he was pulled behind the boat with Brendan, he just wanted to go faster. Then, when he rode with Steph and I, he got the chance to go faster. But, he was so comfortable that he laid his head down and just enjoyed the ride with a smile on his face. He got a GREAT tan that day and with his super blonde hair, he looks as though he's straight from the beaches in Maui. Adorable!
Bring on the Heat!
As most of you know, or have experienced, we have had a heat wave this past week.....and, we LOVE IT!!! To cool off, we spent most of our week at Ray & Carole Grove's house on Angle Lake. They are so gracious to open up their home to us and many other friends and family. We would play all day in the lake, laugh at our commacazzi (sp?) kid that would run as hard as he could off the dock and fly into the water, enjoyed sunsets as we paddled out on the lake with our kids on our boards, and enjoyed rides on the top & underneath the hobie cat.
