Zoo Lights

After all of the crazy weather that we've had around here, we gathered up some friends and their kiddos and headed out to the last night for Zoo Lights at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. It was rainy, it was cold, but it was beautiful! The whole zoo was decorated with lights including a lighted model of the Narrows Bridge, Mt. Rainier, various animals and just random lights decorating the grounds.
We wandered around for a couple of hours....especially hitting the exhibits that led us indoors. After deciding that we were done freezing, we all came home to some warm chili and cornbread. I must say that we all pretty much rock as parents to take our kiddos out in that.

Gabriel Dean & Dean

We had the opportunity to enjoy some time with our good friends Dean and Ashley while they were here for Christmas. We were so thankful to see them in person after Mike's best friend Dean, a pararescueman, had been shipped out to Iraq.

Gabriel's middle name is given after his Uncle Dean because we think so highly of him. He and his cutie pie wife Ashley, love the Lord so much and they love to play and enjoy the life that God has given them. They're just awesome!

Extended Christmas

We extended our Christmas a little this year at Mike's sister's home with her family. Denise and Ron have us over every year, and we always have such a great time with them. I sure wish we were closer! We enjoyed a yummy breakfast, opened presents and Gabe played a little Guitar Hero with his cousins. We love you guys!

Side note...if you notice Gabe's shirt, it says, "Lock up your daughters." Matt Meeuwse, Gabe's Godbrother, found this shirt and had to get it for Gabe. We've had a ton of hilarious comments on it wherever we go. We love it!
