Early 1st Birthday Gift

For Gabriel's 1st birthday present, we ordered this miniature, personalized armchair. We felt as though he needed his own place to kick back in his pad.
I managed to snap a picture of Gabe enjoying one of his favorite novels, "But Not the Hippopotamus." Sandra Boynton is a fun children's author and he loves to hear her books read over and over and over.
Oops! I disturbed him! Sorry buddy!
Looks like he enjoyed his read. Now, he's off to kick back in the tub, slurp down his bottle of moo and dream sweet dreams!

Ball Season

Gabriel went to his first fastpitch game of his daddy's season at Sammamish. They won, of course! Yet, he's still showing his Bulldog pride by wearing his Gonzaga cap.

Dedication

February 25th, we had Gabriel dedicated. Antioch, our church, holds "Celebration Services" about once every 2-3 months. Back in November, we had planned on having Gabe dedicated. However, our Pastor Ken Hutcherson(Hutch), was invited to the White House to chat with the President again. . . . I guess we could hold out for a while longer! :) So, we had to wait until February.

Gabriel's Godparents joined us as we committed ourselves to living a life that would glorify the Lord and be an awesome example to Gabe. And, Gabriel loved Hutch....so much, that when Hutch held him to pray with us, Gabriel didn't really care to come back to either Mike or I! It was pretty cute! We are blessed with this little guy!

Gabriel Walking and Talking

Gabriel is walking now! He's not even teetering or tottering. He's full-blown walking. He started this new adventure on March 5th, his 11 month birthday! It's all going so fast! Sometimes it's hard to remember what it was like when he would just cuddle in my arms and need me for everything. Every stage is fun!
