Graduation

ALL DONE!!! I know that this is late but, June 16th I graduated from City University with my Masters Degree in Technology Curriculum and Instruction. My division of MA in Education was able to walk in June but we actually don't finish class until this very weekend!!! The class that I'm taking right now is Video Production and Editing. It's a blast! My professor worked it out so that we do not have to spend the last weekend of July here and he cancelled our final project because he found that it just wasn't feasable for those who do not have their own personal video cameras! So, as of Sunday, July 22nd, I will be done!!!
WAAAHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Graduation was at Key Arena in Seattle. It was huge! Our main speaker used to play basketball for the Sonics.....his name I forget....but he did a great job! I grabbed Gabe out of the stands to walk down the receiving aisle. He was a hit and I felt honored to carry that little guy with me!

Gabe and his Grandma Eckhart getting cozy during the ceremony.... he just loves his grandparents!

My sister-in-law and niece gave me a wonderful barbeque at their home afterwards. Mike was the Meat Man and was in charge of cooking up the steaks. It was so nice to go through the ceremony and relax afterwards. Marlene, Denise and Mandy, thank you so much!

Mason Lake

It's awesome having the summers off together! Early last week we took off on a hike up to Mason Lake near Snoqualmie. Originally we took off for a fairly simple hike and changed our plans at the last minute as we saw other hikers moving onto another trail. This trail also started out simple, but quickly moved into a great uphill climb. Gabe was thrilled to hike with us the whole way! Once we arrived at the top, we descended down to the lake which was freezing cold. Of course, that didn't stop Gabriel from kicking his feet in that icy glacier water.

As you can tell by Gabe's crazy hair, he was thrilled to hang out at the summit!
Out of all the hikes that I have been on, I have never seen these "lightbulb" flowers. They were everywhere and I just loved them!

This flower is Mike's favorite flower. It's name is Indian Paintbrush and is usually found at the higher elevations.

Daddy loves his boy! I think that everything these two do together is sweet and is wonderful to watch!

Father's Day

Mike took my dad on a Father's Day fishing excursion. Gabriel's godfather, Mike Meeuwse, and godbro, Matt, also went on the trip. Here they are with their proud catches of the day!
