Malia 13, 14 & 15 Months

Here is what Malia has been up to:  she started walking a little after her birthday, she says Mama, Dada, more, signs please only when she wants to, meows like a kitty.  She still has the calm and quiet demeanor, but definitely voices her opinion when she is sitting in her highchair or carseat. Those are not her favorite places!  She has 5 dozen expressions and just cracks us up at her sweet personality.

She definitely resembles her daddy, but now that she is filling out, she and Gabe look quite a bit alike.

Malia is my little stylin' mama.  I love dressing her in her skinny jeans/jeggings. And seriously, that pleather jacket is r.i.d.i.c.u.l.o.u.s.!

Smiling from ear to ear, she has her daddy's smile and totally digs her big bro.  She is always giving him hugs, laughing at his silliness and will allow him to wipe her face and hands without a fuss.

Be still my heart.  I couldn't ask for a better relationship with these two.

Papa is definitely a favorite with the grandkids.  He is silly and makes funny faces and noises.  Just a big kid!

Daddy bought Malia her first Shocks.  No pink, no girly fluff, but straight up Shocks.

Okay, I don't know where in the world she got this, but Malia loves purses.  She grabs anything that resembles a purse or something that will slip over her arm, put her hand behind her head and strut around the house. That did not come from me!

Ahhh, basketball. Actually, on a daily basis I try to play ball, of some kind, with her.  Right now, she loves soccer and for about 10 minutes straight, she will literally dribble the soccer ball with her feet around the house.  LOVE IT!

The other thing that this sweetie peetie has taken to is books.  She adores books and is constantly bringing them to me and wants to read and point out pictures.  She can't get enough of them.

The night of Halloween, Malia wanted to be part of the trick-or-treat scene with all of the big kids.  She wouldn't let us carry her and walked her heart out.  Our next door neighbor was the first house that she got to walk up and get candy put in her bucket.  For the rest of the night, she kept that candy in one hand and her bucket in the other.

Precious. Sweet. Calm. Peaceful. Joyful. Smiley.
We love you Malia and are so thankful that you are in our lives!

Halloween 2011

Halloween around our place is fun.  We decorate as soon as October 1st hits and create all sorts of craft projects and goodies.  Gabe is allowed each year to pick the pumpkin he wants as long as he can pick it up and put it into the wheelbarrow.

There's something about a cozy little home, pumpkin spice candles filling the room, carving pumpkins. . . I love it!

Grandma won train tickets to ride the Snoqualmie Train.  We waited until the last possible day to ride, of course, but got in on the Halloween Train. It was decorated so cute!  Next year, we'll wear our costumes.

Motorcycle Chick . . . don't mess!  Check out that tatt!

Grandma made Gabe a Zorro costume and let me tell you, it wasn't hard for him to get into character.

Stud!

Could a motorcycle chick look this cute? Or is it illegal?

Pumpkin Patches?

The first of three pumpkin patches.  We visited my parents and they took us out on a beautiful day to a local patch.  Apple cider, carmel apples, pumpkins, sparkling cider, apple butter, etc.  we ate it all up when we were there.

When we arrived back at my parent's house, the boys went at it.  I just love this picture and wish that you all could have seen what was leading up to it. Mike would move a certain way or adjust his gun, Gabe would watch and then do the same thing with his BBGun.  I love the hiney shot!

The 2nd of the patches.  This one was for an outing for my school. I was able to meet one of my families whose mom's name is Marla and my student's name is Meleah.  Of all names!!! Can you believe it?

Patch #3  We went with a group of friends to the Thommason Family Farm.  It's tradition ya know?

Check out that boy ropin'!

Julie loves our kids as her own.  She is such a special friend and I just love her. She really is the closest thing to a sister that I will every have.

This is Julie's oldest of three, Louise.  What a sweetie!  Each time she lost a tooth, Malia would poke through the same tooth. Now, Malia only has two teeth left to push through.

Everyone has always told us that we look like sisters, so we had to get a picture. It's a compliment!

The three studs: Gabe, Kadyn, and Chase all racing out to see who could lift the biggest pumpkin.

Bad to the bone
