Random Summer Pictures

For Father's Day we hiked up Rattlesnake Ridge. The beginning of the trail starts out around Rattlesnake Lake, which many of the locals from North Bend come to play. During that time, Gabe "hiked" on his own giving his new backpack a ride. His pack has a Camelback inside which he learned very quickly to use it and loves "hiking" with it. During the walk around the lake, Gabe was once again the official greeter with his Camelback hose! He raced up to everyone who crossed his path and had to make squirt gun sounds at them. Then as we began the real hike at the trailhead, he wanted to ride in dad's pack. So, off we went, only to continually pass by other hikers on the trail. It was busy that day. So, now that Gabriel no longer had his pack on his back, he continued to greet others by saying, "HI!!! I'm strapped in!" . . . . . all the way to the top! Needless to say, we had a ton of laughs, a georgeous view, and a soaking wet diaper, pair of shorts and drippage out of the pack! Gabe came bear bum to nature that day. We cleaned up, and once again, enjoyed the view.

Every year, Mike is in charge of the Senior All-Star games at UW. He has been selected to coach several times, but when he's not coaching, he's still in charge of getting everything going, organized and choosing one of four teams within Washington State. These are the best of the best in WA. It was really fun for me to see him light up by being around such amazing athletes and in a D-1 stadium . . . . where he belongs! It's his dream to coach college fastpitch at the D-1 level.

From sipping homemade smoothies, to playing on the playground and hunting for frogs in the backyard, this is going to be a great summer!

Gabe and his girl!

I had to get a picture of Gabe and Papa, both with their matching saggy bum jeans. Like
Papa like Gabe.
