Malia 4 Months!

This little girl is such a light in my life.  Everyday her gigantic smile and flirty, round, bright eyes flash constantly.  She is such an easy and sweet baby.  I am so thankful for this little blessing in our lives.  She has added another dimension to our family and one that I never knew that would make such a wonderful difference in our lives until she arrived.  She now loves to suck on her fingers, search for her big brother, flirt with anyone glancing in her direction, the motion of the TV, and she rolled over for the first time on December 1st.  She weighed in at a whopping 12lbs.10oz. (30th percentile) and is 26 inches long (100%)  She's a long string bean and is such a mixture of sizes right now.

I have to admit . . . . . I L.O.V.E. pink now!  I can't resist the power that it has over me.  Dressing up this little fashionista is a crack up.  She resembles Gabriel so much.  She now looks very much how he looked at 1-2 months, so when I put pink on her, it seems odd at first, but then she flashes those beautiful bright eyes and the pink so suits her.
She is my girl!

So, do you remember Ralphie's little brother in the movie, The Christmas Story?  Yeah, I pretty much made that a repeat with the layers that this girl wore out in the snow.

Yep, having fun with my dolly!

HOW did I get soooo, sooooo blessed?

Malia is such an easy baby.  During the day, I feed her, she plays for about an hour, then I put her in her bouncy seat or swing and hand her blankie to her.  She grabs it, smiles with delight that she has her blankie, snuggles it to her face, and falls asleep.  Wow, could this get any easier?

My two goofballs!

Again, the goofballs!  I love 'em!

Basketball Camp

This was a proud day for me. . . . basketball camp!  Everyone jokingly asks Mike, "What if your kids want to do ballet, or sing, or wants nothing to do with sports?"  Mike replies, "As long as they do it to the best of their ability.  But it's not me that cares, it's my wife!"  Yep, so this day of basketball camp was a proud moment for Mama.

Now I know that I won't get to say this for too long, but doesn't he look sooooooo C.U.T.E.  in his gear?!!!

He got to come to this camp because it was for the kids on the Muckleshoot Reservation where Mike now teaches.  Gabriel was the youngest one there, ya know, coaches' kid's priveleges!  Otherwise, the youngest kids allowed to come were seven years old.

The Bible says to "raise them up in the way they should go . . . " SOOOOOOO that's-a-what-we-are-a-doin'.

Christmas Program

Each year, Gabe has his Christmas Program at his school.  This year, he wanted to wear his suit jacket (which is about 3 sizes too small) and a tie.  Since the jacket is so small, we improvised and rolled the sleeves and let it hang open to reveal his cool factor.  He was stylin'!

I love this boy!

This is my future daughter-in-law!

Christmas Prep

Gabriel gets to help Mike put the lights on the house each year. . . .

. . . . . and he loves to help us decorate the tree.

Snow Days

As a cold spell set in, we tried to get out in it as much as possible. . . . yes, of course with Starbucks!

As soon as the snow hit, we took an evening sprint to the playground to get in some quality snowball fight time.

Gabe and one of our neighbor boys (7yrs. old) quit fighting to chow down on the fresh snow.

We even strapped on the backpack and hiked to the grocery store to grab some grub for dinner.

. . . . . and we found a different route home.

Nothing like warm mac & cheese to cozy up with after playing in the snow for hours on end.
